Our work to uplift our community, share culture, and protect the environment.

Conservation

Recycling

We’ve transformed how our village handles waste by establishing a dedicated recycling center for paper, plastic, and cardboard. What was once dumped in the surrounding woods now has a responsible, community-run disposal point — reducing pollution and protecting the local environment.

Rural Bins

To tackle everyday waste, we set up a large shared bin in the village — providing a practical solution where none existed. This simple addition has helped prevent illegal dumping, improved public hygiene, and made it easier for families to manage their waste responsibly.

Fishing Net Recycling

We collect and strip old fishing nets, reusing usable parts and safely disposing of the rest. This helps local fishermen get more value from their gear while reducing ocean pollution and protecting marine life.

Community

Community Cleaning

Each week, our international volunteers roll up their sleeves to clean the village fish market, main street, and public toilets. Their regular efforts help maintain a healthier, more welcoming environment for local families, vendors, and visitors — showing how small actions can make a big difference.

Subsidized Materials

To support sustainable livelihoods, we offer discounted supplies and materials that help fishermen repair their boats affordably. This makes essential maintenance more accessible, reducing financial strain while keeping vessels safe and seaworthy.

Community Workshop

We provide a safe, well-equipped space where local fishermen can repair their boats using modern tools and techniques. Alongside hands-on support, we offer training on PPE and smart practices — helping improve safety, skills, and long-term livelihoods.

Culture and Education

Classroom

We established a community classroom as a dedicated space for environmental education and flexible learning. It serves as a hub for teaching students about sustainability, while also supporting a range of activities — from workshops to community meetings — that strengthen local knowledge and engagement.

International Exposure

We bring skilled, diverse international professionals to the village to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and broaden horizons. Their presence creates meaningful cross-cultural connections, inspires new ways of thinking, and helps the community engage with the wider world.

We don’t just fix boats. We teach, empower, and build a sustainable marine culture. Our workshop is also a training center where safety, environmental care, and seafaring heritage go hand-in-hand. Plus, the place is cleaner than most cafes.
